Violet Ultramarine
Until the early 19th century, the only source of ultramarine was from the rare and expensive, semi precious mineral lapis lazuli. It wasn't until early 1820's when an alternative method of manufacturing synthetic ultramarine was discovered in France. Oxides and ultramarines do not disolve in water or oil, they remain suspended, mix an amount with a small portion of the oil (to wet the oxide) and gradually add to the bulk, stirring all the time. Ultramarines and oxides can be blended together to give a wide range of colors, they are inorganic and will not bleed. Use at about 1 teaspoon per 5lb of soap.
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
Do not use in Lipsticks, not recommended for Nail laquers
