Cream Base

A simple cream base that can be used to carry your herbal tinctures and/or essential oils, for external applications. Will keep in the refrigerator for about 2 months.

2 tsp/8g Beeswax

2.5 tsp/10g Cocoa Butter

2 tbsp/30ml Sweet Almond Oil

1 tbsp/15ml Wheat germ Oil

3 tbsp/45ml Distilled Water/Spring Water

0.5 tsp Emulsifying Wax

1. Heat the beeswax, cocoa butter and base oils together in a double boiler until melted.
2. Warm the spring water in another saucepan and dissolve the emulsifying wax into it.
3. Take the mixture off the heat. Slowly add the spring water mixture to the oily mixture and stir until cool.
4. Add the essential oils or herbal tincture, store in a glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator.
